"What does this world need: Gifted men, outwardly empowered? Or broken men, inwardly transformed?" from A Tale of Three Kings, Gene Edwards

A Roadmap to a Fresh Start - Part 2 - Keep a Positive Perspective

Keep A Positive Perspective

DT 8:1 (b) so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land that the LORD promised on oath to your forefathers.

The promises of blessing that the Bible shares are God’s idea and true faith includes believing these promises in the context that they are presented.  I cannot overstate how important it is to maintain a positive outlook with respect to the good that we can expect when we start on a new path with God.

I believe this is one of the defining characteristics that God has placed within you so that you can lead your congregation or organization.  You are gifted to maintain faith as you and your team move ahead with each new endeavor.  The reality is that no one wants to follow a leader who is pessimistic about the future.  If you can only see a bleak picture, it is time to get renewed in the presence of God!
Findings from a recent study even showed that positive emotions can be a major factor in reducing the risk of disease.[1]   I am not simply promoting optimism without cause, but a hope and confidence rooted in Christ.  A positive outlook is beneficial in many ways and healthy beginnings should be characterized by a bright perspective.
